Building on a Concrete Pad

If you have an existing concrete pad

If you have a pre-existing concrete pad please verify that it is level and squared. To verify that the pad is square, measure perpendicular from opposite corners and the two numbers should be the same. The pad needs to be the size of the shed or larger. We will need you to email us a few photos of your pad. If you currently have a shed to be torn down on your pad we will need a few interior and exterior photos emailed to us. The pad will become the interior floor of your shed with no wooden floor. Depending on the size of the shed you select you will receive a floor credit (unless a wooden floor is ordered): 0-64 sq. ft. = $50 credit, 65-100 sq. ft. = $75 credit, 101-150 sq. ft. = $100 credit, 151-180 sq. ft. = $150 credit.

If you opt to build your shed on a pad it will be anchored down into the concrete using 3 ¼” Tapcon screws through the pressure treated 2×4’s. The pre-assembled wall footers will attach and be anchored into the pressure treated base 2×4’s. We offer and recommend a sill plate foam gasket to improve the seal around the outer floor of the shed. Lastly, if you would like to insulate your floor you will require a wooden floor to be built on top of the pad to accommodate the insulation.

If you would like to build on a new concrete pad

Please note, we do not pour concrete pads. You will need to have a separate contractor pour a new pad for you prior to the shed installation. The pad must be level and squared. We have dealt with numerous pads poured by contractors which were not level and squared. If it is not correctly level and squared the installation will not work. You will need you to verify that the measurement of the pad is correct. To verify that the pad is square, measure perpendicular from opposite corners and the two numbers should be the same.
